The Young Women’s Leadership School (TYWLS) of Queens is a single-sex New York City public school, and operates as part of the Student Leadership Network.

TYWLS of Queens is part of an establishment that nurtures the intellectual curiosity and creativity of young women by supporting the ‘whole girl’ in order to maximize academic achievement, social-emotional well-being, and post-secondary success.

The school approaches learning in a dynamic, participatory fashion, encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning. We are a College Bound Initiative (CBI) school that holds middle and high school students. TYWLS strives to instill in students a sense of self-efficiency and community responsibility, characteristics which will support them as they become the leaders of the next generation.
